We’ve been busying ourselves with a myriad of musical recordings of late… so much so, we’ve had to resort to making a spreadsheet ’cos there’s been such a frightening number of parts and such to co-ordinate for this album malarkey… and though this certainly has cheered our way quite a tad more to see some tangible progress appearing before us, we’re still most frustratingly excited to get it sorted and finished all lovely for yer like.
The Euphonium has made a reappearance, as well as it’s natural hard-rock sibling, the baroque recorder… exactly how these sounds mix well with distorted guitars and hammering drums is still something of an auricular enigma, but t’is genuinely all most soulfully thirst-quenching. Also, on the new-fangled record (and new to us) are some guest violin parts, flute and a Wurlitzer to add to a bit of extra character to the soundscapes.
Also, in the backs of our minds are the peculiar necessities of marketing and promotion and all that malarkey… seems a bit essential for yer modern band in this day and age… Back in the day, yer could lounge around cuddling yer principles, whilst powerful record executives went off and did all that sort of thing for yer. We’ve been checking out more lasting and good natured ways of achieving this, though if any of yer wondrous lot have other suggestions, we’re always happy to hear from yer

Sure 2010, has had it’s charms and challenges, and they should be celebrated… but look at this, a fresh-faced unblemished new year, bristling with potential and mystically suffused in sublime splendours yet to be revealed…
